what beautiful pictures of bees, butterflies & flowers (sounds like a science lesson)... I've been checking your blog - which is new to me this week... you participated in WeekWord and posted your interpretation of "Nostalgic" - your photos are incredible.... I'm not sure where you live, but I can tell you I don't think I've seen the flower that is in the first several pics of this post. What a delicate looking flower...
Thank you Christine, and thank you for the week word and for visiting :) The flower is allium aka- green onion from my garden. Beautiful aren't they? Bees love them. The sulphur compounds in the nectar act as a kind of antibiotic for the colony (I read somewhere and thought was pretty fascinating) So I grow a bunch solely for the bees :) It is also pictured at the heading of my blog- some of the flowers haven't quite popped from their bud casings. I love them.
lets chat soon. I want to hear all about those bees!
ReplyDeleteyes, yes! Let's! :)
