Weekword-ABUNDANCE

ABUNDANCE
I like the part of the definition that says-
plentifulness of the good things of life
I think of synonyms like~

myriad
plethora
multitude
bountiful
cornucopia-
then I think of Thanksgiving coming

and what I am most thankful for
First and foremost

my family (and friends :) )

the bees

the honey

the flowers

the rain

garden harvests

Color, pattern and inspiration from nature

gifts that remind me of the kindness of friends and family

Art- yes, that sweet painting is from peekadoo lucky me! :)
BOOKS

and bread, yummm. We are definitely a bread-loving family

What do you consider to be the 'good things' of life?

  1. Your pictures are absolutely mesmerizing-what a treat to peak into your view of a fruitful world. I'm especially in awe of your nature collections as a biologist-I love gathering rocks and leaves and feathers in all their varied forms. Thanks for sharing this week!

  3. Thank you :) However, as much as I think it would be a fascinating and rewarding profession, I am not a biologist. Biomouse is though. I am currently a stay at home mom, taking a long break from teaching special education. If I were a biologist, I would love to conduct research specifically with bees and colony collapse disorder or something that involves the study of biomimicry.... As a first year beekeeper, it has been an emotional experience. When you keep bees, you learn so much....It's like you become an amateur botanist and meteorologist too as everything is pretty much connected. It is hard not to get attached to the bee colonies and worry about them surviving the winter. It is hard for me not to care deeply for them because they work so hard and and teach so much.
@biomouse , I too collect feathers! ... I love birds, drawing and painting them is a favorite pass time. Winged Migration is one of my favorite bird documentaries. If you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend it. :)
